The Republic of Panama expects to receive the amount of US$1,801,224.92, in terms of the initial investments made by two new companies that join the Special Regime of Headquarters of Multinational Companies (SEM), so it is expected that these investments will generate more jobs.

The approval of licenses for these multinationals, originating in Colombia and Panama, was given by the SEM Licensing Commission during an ordinary meeting, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MICI), Juan Carlos Sosa.

Both companies complied with the requirements established in Law No. 41 of 2007 and have a high corporate profile within their areas of development, which are linked to the banking and consumer goods sector.

The general director of SEM, Jeannette Díaz Granados, highlighted the impetus that the regime gives to hiring more local labor in these companies and the transfer of knowledge.
