The humanitarian decree for applications for family reunification of Venezuelans within Panama was repealed. This was reported by the government of that country through its Official Gazette. There he also announced that the measure entered into force on August 24.

This means that any citizen from Venezuela who wishes to enter the nation of Central America must apply for a stamped visa from the Panamanian consulate. According to the information, the Panamanian authorities repealed Executive Decree No. 612 of October 22, 2018, which contemplated the creation of the Office of Humanitarian Affairs for Venezuelan Residents.

When this rule was in force, the purpose of the office was to respond to requests for family reunification on humanitarian grounds. The Panamanian government thus reaffirms the practice of decree 473 published on August 23, 2017, which includes Venezuela among the countries that require a Visa Stamped by the consul to enter the territory of Panama.
