News from Panama / Tuesday, May 14th, 2019

The Panama Metro tenders the supply of energy and gauges, in the figure of Large Passive Customer of the Wholesale Electricity Market, for a period of 60 months.

Panama Government Purchase 2019-2-80-0-08-LP-002308:

“Metro de Panamá S.A. (MPSA) has detected that it can achieve significant savings in the line of expenditure for consumption of electricity purchased through distributors if it participates in the Wholesale Electricity Market as a Large Customer and to achieve this condition, it is necessary to carry out a public act of purchase of energy, so that producers with commercial operation or available to the office can offer a proper price, allowing MPSA to achieve the expected savings. For this purpose, MPSA seeks to contract energy for a 60-month period (5 years), from the date of commencement of supply under the figure of Large Passive Customer.

Within its proposal, the Contractor shall include the supply, certification, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the four (4) meters that comply with the requirements of the SMEC necessary to measure the energy required by MPSA in the points mentioned above during the term of this contract. MPSA’s facilities already have current transformers (CT’s) and potential transformers (PT’s) with SMEC specifications.”

Reference value: $ 22,528,320.

Deadline for receipt of tenders: June 17, 2019.
