Shoes: Top Players in Panama

In the footwear import business, it is estimated that Payless, Shoesource and Sportline America represent around 10% of the market share.

Data from the “Corporate System of Companies” platform, from the Trade Intelligence unit of CentralAmericaData provides details on the companies according to sector, main activity, volume and value of their imports, exports and other relevant data.

According to the information system, other companies with considerable activity are Kadima, S.A., Cristal Commercial S.A. and Tova S.A., accounting for around 15% of total footwear purchases, measured in terms of imports made.

Other companies with lesser participation in the Panamanian market are Calzashoes INC and Fashion Footwear Unlimited S.A., which concentrate around 8% of imports made by companies in the sector.

The list of participants also includes American Fashion Wear, Monterrey Shoes Corp and Shoemaster S.A., accounting for nearly 6% of the value purchased.
