Construction: What to Expect this Year

The development of an educational center in Panama, an apartment building in Costa Rica and a multipurpose tower in Guatemala are part of the projects planned for the coming months in Central America.

The interactive platform “Construction in Central America“, compiled by the Trade Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects for which environmental impact studies (EIA) were submitted to the respective institutions of each country.

Detail of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently:

The Association of Daughters of the Divine Savior plans to build an educational center in the village of Ernesto Córdoba Campos, in the province of Panama. The new facilities of an educational center will have two classrooms, gymnasium, synthetic court, swimming pool, parking lots, administrative building, sewage treatment plant, and other amenities. It is estimated that close to $61 million will be invested.

In Costa Rica, the company 3-101-765374 S.A. plans to build in Escazú, province of San José, a vertical residential condominium, composed of three buildings with 14 housing units each. According to the EIA, it is estimated that the investment in the project will amount to about $27.5 million.

Mosset, S.A. presented the EIA to build in Zone 10 of Guatemala City, a multipurpose tower of 15 floors and 7 basements, which will house 110 apartments and 13 commercial premises. It specifies the document that is expected to invest about $14.4 million.
