Consumer prices in Panama were 0.5 percent higher in December compared with the same month a year earlier, the country’s national statistics office (CGR) said on Monday.
Education prices rose 3.5 percent, while health was up 2.3 percent and transportation prices gained by 1.7 percent, according to CGR data.
Consumer prices rose by 0.2 percent in December compared with the previous month, the CGR said.
In 2017 as a whole, consumer prices were up by 0.9 percent compared to the previous year.
