Panama: Six Offers in $17 million Highway Tender

Between $15 million and $17 million are the range of the six offers submitted by the consortia in the tender to rehabilitate a 42 kilometer stretch of road from Las Tablas -Pedasí in Los Santos.

From statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works in Panama:

The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) held the Act for the Best Value Public Tender for rehabilitation of the road Las Tablas – Pedasi, Province of Los Santos, whose approximate length is 41.7 kilometers.

Before starting the ceremony for opening of the technical and economic proposals, and the deposit proposed, the price estimated by the MOP was revealed as the sum of B / 16,878,837.42.

Subsequently the participants proposals were opened in the order they were received from the companies. The first bidder was the company Centralmix S.A., which bid the price of B / 17,250,610.43. Meanwhile, Consorcio Asfaltos Panameños S.A., / Romar Hermanos, S.A., proposed the sum of B / 15,931,255.36.

For its part, Consorcio Transeq – Estrella, S.A., e Ingeniería Estrella S.A., bid the price of B / 15,968,939.58. The company Constructora Rodsa, S.A., proposed the sum of B / 15,753,374.07. Asociación Accidental C & C – Las Tablas, bid B / 17,260,170.00 and  Consorcio Ruta Vial proposed the sum of B / 15,827,323.05.
