None of the pre-qualified companies submitted bids in the tender for the concession of the design, construction and operation of a container port in West Corozal, Panama.
From the Panama Canal Authority:
The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) reports that Friday was the deadline set out in the request for proposals for the submission of bids by the companies pre qualified to compete for the award of the design, construction, development and operation of a container port in West Corozal.
See details of the tender.
Having reached the deadline established in the tender, today, March 3, the ACP has not received any proposals from prequalified companies, for which reason, the tender was declared void by the Canal’s Contracting Officer.
The ACP will continue its constitutional responsibility to seek operations which are ever more profitable, through a business development strategy that creates conditions for the benefit of the country and leverages the competitive advantages of our geographic location and the services offered by Canal, which have become stronger with opportunities and markets that have opened up.
