For meat lovers only please!!  The supermarket chain Super Carnes bought the first contingent of eight tonnes to the Solis refrigerating company, one of the nine authorized to sell the meat in Panama.

The first contingent of beef imported from the South American country has entered the country, after permission was gained to sell the meat in Panama in April 2015.

David Virzi, vice president of Super Carnes, told Prensa.com that “… the aim of this chain was to bring in this merchandise in order give the public something different … ‘and that characterizes us against other supermarkets that do not have any meat from Uruguay…Because it is expensive meat, we could not bring a whole container we did not know how he was going to move; besides, no one has brought it in. We brought in eight tons to see what [cut] will be bought most and then we will make a more efficient order. ‘ ”

“… Sebastian Bakschi of the importer Premier Imports & Exports, noted that trade with Super Carnes is on a probation period for at least a couple of weeks, since the meat came into the country during the carnival, when most people are inside. ‘No projection has been made of containers because we do not know what the impact will be (…) The fundamental idea is to offer a good product and good service. Quality over quantity ‘. “
