Here is an example of another wave of openings representing over $56 Million in invesment and a focus on the ever growing business market in Panama. Having just returned from the City last week, I can tell you this sector is exploding and despite it being off season, the Courtyard Marriott at Multiplaza mall was full and I was lucky to get a room for $229 and I know the owners!

With a $ 56 million investment, the new projects aim at the business market.

In the area of El Cangrejo, with a $ 10 million investment, a Howard Johnson will be built managed by Fr Consulting, who announced construction of two Hampton Inn, one on Via Argentina and another in the sector of La Boca.

“Another project in the capital city and aimed at the executive market, is the Wyndham Garden, which will begin operations in November.” Says Prensa.com

With a $ 13 million investment, Victoria Hotel & Suites plans to open in May 2011.

Inaugurations are planned within the next 36 months.
