Cayman Airways’ seasonal route to Panama takes-off today (12 June). The twice-weekly flights run on Mondays and Thursdays through 1 September.

Cayman Airways tells Cayman 27 bookings for the non-stop flight are up more than 100 percent over last year.

An airline representative also said the 100th anniversary of the Panama Canal and Panama’s proximity to World Cup action in Brazil may be driving interest in the route.
