According to a study conducted by the Panamanian Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (CCIAP), 75% of Panamanian companies have implemented or plan to implement solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the next three years.
The study details that companies that have adopted AI-powered Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools save time and money by automating routine processes and tasks, reducing operating costs and human talent focuses on more strategic and creative activities.
According to Martha Ardila, regional director of sales in Central America and the Caribbean at Red Hat, companies have also increased their productivity, by analyzing large amounts of data, extracting relevant information and generating optimal solutions in less time.
In addition, AI can prevent system failures and human errors by detecting anomalies, risks or vulnerabilities, and apply corrective or preventive measures.
Ardila assured that the sectors that will benefit most from AI-driven automation in Panama are the logistics sector, the financial services sector and the manufacturing sector.
In the financial sector, fraud detection can be one of the greatest benefits of the tool, AI can also improve the customer experience by offering personalized, fast and accurate attention, through the use of conversational bots, recommendation systems or virtual assistants.
