In Panama, FCC Construcción and Operadora Cicsa will be in charge of the expansion works to six lanes of the Las Playas Corridor, on the Santa Cruz – San Carlos section.
The companies that took part in the tender for the extension of the road sections were the Consortium FCC-Corredor de Las Playas II, composed of FCC Construcción S.A. and Operadora Cicsa S.A., and the Consortium Vial-II, formed by Constructora Meco, S.A. and Constructora Urbana, S.A., with offers of $350 million and $319 million, respectively.
“Expansion of the Pan American Highway in the stretch between Santa Cruz -San Carlos, with an approximate length of 21k + 800, and also includes the variant Chame – Punta Barco with an approximate length of 13k + 600 with four (4) lanes two (2) in each direction as well as the renovation of the existing via Chame Punta Barco (13k + 200) and the design and construction of returns to the flyover in the area of Coronado.
