Panama’s government tender’s professional services for the integral railway system for the Panama Metro Line 1 extension to Villa Zaita.

“Metro de Panama requires design engineering services, construction of the civil works, Auxiliary Line and Station Facilities, and interfaces with the Integral Rail System for the Panama Metro Line 1 Extension to Villa Zaita.
The route of the Line 1 Extension to Villa Zaita will be developed in a South-North direction, starting from the completion of the existing viaduct structure of Line 1 at Pk 15+646 located on the central vehicular axis of Transistmica Avenue.
The elevated railway viaduct runs over the vehicular axis of Transisthmian Avenue up to Pk 16+812, point from which the transition to the west side of Transisthmian Avenue begins. The transition extends to Pk 16+956. From this point it runs along the west side, passing by the Villa Zaita Terminal station until the end of the maneuvering queue located at Pk 18+057. The Villa Zaita terminal station is located between Pk 17+546 and 17+638 with seven double axles supported on a gantry structure.
Upstream and downstream of the station there are double switches for change of direction maneuvers.
The tender requires all the necessary components for the development of the project.
For line 1:
a) Passenger substation.
b) Traction substation.
c) Medium voltage network.
For line 2:
a) Signaling and train control systems using CBTC operated by the URBALIS 400 product.
b) Updating of configuration (software and hardware) of trains of both Lines (47 in total) for the interoperable operation of Lines 1 and 2.
c) Automatic Train Supervision (ATS).
d) The control and data acquisition system (SCADA).
e) Fiber optics and communications networks at Villa Zaita station.
f) TETRA radio communication systems.”
Estimated value: $33,737,500 million.
