MOP will invest $1.2 billion in works

The Minister of Public Works (MOP) has projected that 2023 will be a year of high execution in several projects in the country, where around $1.2 billion will be invested.

Recently senior MOP officials carried out an inspection to verify the progress of the work of the study, design, construction and financing project for the Interconnection of the Coastal Belt III – Amador Road, as well as the preliminary maintenance and recovery work of the maintenance and recovery service project of green areas, infrastructure and viability of the Coastal Belt I, II and III – Mirador del Pacífico and Amador’

For this year, the work will be concentrated in Panama City through patching and slab replacement contracts, whose investment exceeds B/. 85 million, the rehabilitation of the Centenario ($5.6 million) bridges and Las Américas ($5.2 million).

There would be talk of $100 million to invest in streets this year in the city. This year 2023 will be very effective, according to the MOP.

For the week of January 20, the rehabilitation of 65 kilometers of track will begin in Panama City, including the Ave. Balboa.

This contract must be completed by the end of this year and a Public-Private Partnership (APP) project has been approved for the complete rehabilitation and maintenance by 15-year standards of the Pan-American road from El Espino de La Chorrera to Santiago de Veraguas.

It was announced that the year has started strongly, taking advantage of the dry season and maintaining our road network.
