This is great. We have a backbone of the Central American Fiber network running through David and our connectivity is great. We now have 15 mbps service and it will eventually catch up to the rest of the world with better bandwidth and less expense.
The government of Panama aims to install a regional internet exchange point (IXP) for Central America and the Caribbean, Telesemana reports, citing country’s national authority for government innovation (AIG) head Irvin Halman. In September, local telecoms regulator Conatel stipulated the deployment of a local IXP in the country.
