$80 Million in Deals at Panama’s International Commercial Exhibition

This years Expocomer convention was not only bigger but the quality of buyers greatly improved . The vast majority of those who are here are really interested in doing business.

According to Ana Patricia Mirones director of marketing at the Panamanian company Top Chef Supply Co. , “we have done very well. What you need to do well in Expocomer is to have something good to offer. We have had a lot of interested parties, particularly from Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, India and the Bahamas. As a minimum we have got some 10 strong negotiations in progress which we intend to close in the next month. ”

Mark Illesca, general manager of Manufacturing Exporters Association, who participated in the exhibition with eight companies, said that “each of the companies has had a large quantity of more or less important contacts. Some are from Panama and others from other Latin American countries … “.

“In this edition the quality of buyers greatly improved . The vast majority of those who are here are really interested in doing business,” added Illesca.

“The truth is that this year’s show was better than expected. There are more buyers from different countries. Expocomer is a very useful tool. It is really worth it,” said Hoon Lee, deputy director of Kotra, a South Korean trade and investment promotion agency.
