<\/a><\/a>We have listed some additional properties in Azuero, one of our favorite areas in Panama.\u00a0 We have reported on numerous occasions in the past on the upside potential in this market for\u00a0investment in oceanfront and ocean view properties.\u00a0 Well in the last 60 days several large tracts have sold\u00a0including one of our favorite fincas in Pedasi\u00a0where opur friend has more than doubled his money in just four\u00a0years. The buyer is a European philanthropic\u00a0billionaire who is invested in Central \u00a0America and joins the ranks of others already in this market like Prince Maximilian from Lichtenstein.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0These are people who call Pedasi home when they visit Panama.\u00a0 You would not know them sitting at the local outdoor restaurant eating\u00a0fresh fish\u00a0and drinking a beer with friends while watching the slow parade of locals walk by.<\/p>\n

Here is a little about the Azuero area.<\/p>\n

\u201cPanama lies at the crossroads of the Western Hemisphere, where North and South America meet and the Caribbean almost reaches to the Pacific Ocean, connected by the Panama Canal.\u00a0 In the middle of the country is a peninsula that faces south, jutting into the Pacific like a green wedge, and caressed by the Trade Winds.\u00a0 This is a mountainous region given over to cattle raising, with small towns dotting the coast and villages in the interior.\u00a0 This is Azuero<\/p>\n

\u00a0Azuero is the most Hispanic region of Panama. This heritage is quite noticeable in the behavior of its people, Indians and Afro-Panamanians as well as in the Hispanic segment of the population.\u00a0 Legends, superstitions, dances, music and customs are a living expression of this impressive cultural identity.\u00a0 The people of Azuero are joyous and hard working who know how to conserve their traditional culture and not be resigned to the loss of a rich heritage.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Property<\/h2>\n

The property is located above the road to Pedasi in Canas and consists of approximately 109 hectares or approximately 270 acres of land. Title is held to all of the land.\u00a0 The nice part is that the owner has put in the infrastructure and is willing to subdivide the property into smaller tracts, all of which have incredible ocean views.<\/p>\n

You will notice the inland water that is protected by a natural barrier island.\u00a0 This acts as a sheltered water way and has boat houses and launching docks for protected access to the ocean.\u00a0 There is a planned marina for this location as well.\u00a0 Today, you can keep a trailered boat nearby, launch and be at sea in minutes in some of the most tuna rich waters in Panama.\u00a0 This are is called the Tuna Coast and there is even a world class tuna research facility nearby.\u00a0 The beach you are looking at is a national protected park area and has a huge nesting turtle population.\u00a0 The property itself has abundant wildlife including monkeys Toucans, Macaws, Iguanas and more.<\/p>\n

Located a short drive from the beach and a new marina location, the property enjoys extraordinary ocean views and extended views of the coast. The protected harbor in Canas is a boaters dream and found nowhere else in Azuero. \nPedasi is a short drive 20 minutes away and you can find most of your necessities there including medical care and banking needs. A short one hour drive and you can get to Las Tablas, a modern town where you will find just about anything else you need.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pedasi has a regional airport and is less than an hour\u2019s flight from Panama City and a four and a half hour drive by car.\u00a0\u00a0 Again this is most important for consideration of markets you want to invest in here in Panama.<\/p>\n
