{"id":4409,"date":"2012-02-23T15:54:40","date_gmt":"2012-02-23T20:54:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/?p=4409"},"modified":"2012-02-23T15:54:40","modified_gmt":"2012-02-23T20:54:40","slug":"how-to-get-the-most-out-of-our-tourism-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/how-to-get-the-most-out-of-our-tourism-business\/","title":{"rendered":"How to get the most out of our tourism business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/PANAMA-POLLERA-ATP.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4410\" title=\"PANAMA POLLERA ATP\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/PANAMA-POLLERA-ATP.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"227\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Panama needs to improve the quality of it&#8217;s attention to tourism and service remains a key to growth in that sector.\u00a0 Here is an article that makes me hope that we will pay attention to this sector in coming years.<\/p>\n<p>In light of the distinction awarded by The New  York Time as the number 1 destination in 2012, the country must improve  the quality of its tourism services, with the involvement of public and  private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The sectors which must do their part are the government (migration,  tourism and customs) and private enterprise, says Alberto Quiros Ja\u00e9n,  chairman of the National Network of Chambers of <a title=\"tourism\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22tourism%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Tourism<\/a>, in an article for Prensa.com.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Four basic concepts can help us change our paradigms and improve the quality of service that we <a title=\"Panama\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Panama%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Panama<\/a>nians provide to our visitors, generating complete satisfaction and promoting our culture,&#8221; writes Quir\u00f3s. These elements are:<\/p>\n<p>1. Being aware that every day we can choose the attitude which we have  towards our work and serving our customers, whom we should treat as  &#8220;guests&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>2. Rethinking our businesses as &#8220;attractions&#8221; in a great tourist park  that is Panama, so that our companies create entertaining places that  tourists want to visit and recommend.<\/p>\n<p>3. Fostering better communication between those providing and those  receiving the service, through eye contact and empathy with the &#8220;guests&#8221;  and a commitment to excellence.<\/p>\n<p>4. Making the &#8220;experience&#8221; in which visitors to participate and live  with us, a unique and memorable one, exceeding their expectations and  producing a &#8216;wow&#8217; from every one of
