In an effort to promote the development of the maritime industry, the Minister of Commerce and Industries (MICI), Julio Molt\u00f3, received representatives of Ocea, a prominent shipbuilding company interested in investing in Panama, through a project to install a shipyard for the maintenance and construction of ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation, headed by engineer Yorgo Hern\u00e1ndez, director for the Americas, and Karin Volot, manager of the subsidiary in Panama, highlighted that their interest in the country is due to its strategic location on key maritime routes, a system of free zones with tax exemptions, and a modern infrastructure, in addition to incentives such as the Law of Headquarters of Multinational Companies (SEM), among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the ambitious project was presented that will not only benefit national institutions, but will also seek to meet the demands of the international market. This project will be developed in several phases, which will allow a continuous evaluation and adaptation to the needs of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MICI has started talks with Ocea to finalize this investment, which promises to generate 500 jobs in its final phase and contribute to the economic growth of the country. With a focus on offering services to the region, this initiative represents a significant opportunity for investors seeking to diversify their operations in a favorable environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
