This year the National Tourism Council approved the Boca Chica Tourist Destination Action Plan in Chiriqu\u00ed and El Valle de Ant\u00f3n, in Cocl\u00e9, since it considers that they have the necessary infrastructures to provide good tourism and treatment to the traveler. In 2023 they expect other achievements in several provinces.<\/p>\n

The new vision for Panama according to the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan (PMTS) is to be recognized as a world-class sustainable tourist destination. And apparently it is being achieved little by little. This year the magazines Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure and Vogue, which have an important base of readers who follow their travel recommendations, placed Panama on their list of ideal destinations to visit in 2022.<\/p>\n

However, in order to ensure that the isthmus continues to highlight an attractive tourist destination for travelers, it is important to have a Tourist Destination Action Plan both in the country and in all provinces that guarantees good infrastructure and safety to visitors.<\/p>\n

The National Tourism Council (CNT), the highest governing and consultation body in terms of tourism activity, recently approved the Tourism Destination Action Plan of the Corregimiento.<\/p>\n

By the Inter-American road, in San Lorenzo, Chiriqu\u00ed, you enter the town of Horconcitos and through a 20-minute route you reach the corregimiento of Boca Chica, a coastal community that has acquired a great tourist boom in recent years as a gateway to the Gulf of Chiriqu\u00ed Marine National Park, along with its paradisiacal islands with beaches with turquoise waters.<\/p>\n

Boca Chica is considered a jewel as a world-class holiday destination, it is no wonder, it has European style and ecoboutique accommodation, as well as bungalows (huts) surrounded by abundant vegetation with exquisite gastronomy, entertainment, swimming pools and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and boat tours to islands of warm waters, white sand and palm trees, ideal for bathing or enjoying offshore fishing,<\/p>\n

Iv\u00e1n Eskildsen, general administrator of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) stressed that the diagnosis of this area focuses on its location, internal mobility, conditions, labor, security and governance, as well as the recommended positioning for product development, through a defined strategy.<\/p>\n

This action plan consists of diagnosis and positioning strategy, based on the four strategic goals of the PMTS: a better known<\/p>\n

categories and twenty-one subcategories in heritage routes and the destination strategy that consists of eight priority destinations, three complementary offer support zones and three destinations of unique potential.<\/p>\n

Last month Eskildesn, in the presence of leaders of the tourism sector, municipal authorities and members of the community, installed the Tourist Destination Management Committees that follow up the implementation of the projects, programs and strategies carried out<\/p>\n

Rivera Pac\u00edfica is one of the eight priority destinations of the PMTS that has a hotel floor of more than 3,000 rooms, and that in the PMTS it is proposed to promote it under the concept of ‘sun and beach plus’.<\/p>\n

Regarding the economic recovery, the administrator said that the industry sector is emerging from the worst crisis in its history. “In August, according to figures from the Comptroller’s Office, a total of one million 167 thousand visitors were quantified, which represents more than three times the amount recorded last year for the same period.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
