{"id":31983,"date":"2021-09-15T08:47:32","date_gmt":"2021-09-15T13:47:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/?p=31983"},"modified":"2021-09-15T08:47:32","modified_gmt":"2021-09-15T13:47:32","slug":"panama-costa-rica-dominican-republic-join-forces-promote-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/panama-costa-rica-dominican-republic-join-forces-promote-trade\/","title":{"rendered":"Panama, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic Join Forces to Promote Trade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/trade.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31984\" src=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/trade.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"752\" height=\"559\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/trade.jpg 752w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/trade-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 752px) 100vw, 752px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ministers of Foreign Affairs of\u00a0<strong><em>Panama, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0will meet in the new dialogue space called the \u201c<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizlatinhub.com\/caribbean-triangle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caribbean Triangle<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u201d to\u00a0<strong><em>develop joint strategies to address the economic, political and social situation in the region<\/em><\/strong>, announced the Panamanian Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>He reported that this tripartite alliance, based on the principles of promoting democracy and respect for human rights, will seek to promote as a development bloc, trade opportunities in the area, promotion of special development zones and defense of legislation that accompanies it, in addition to novel proposals such as \u2018nearshoring\u2019, to attract investment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tve-leads-in-content tve-tl-anim tve-leads-track-in_content-14 tl-anim-instant tve-leads-triggered\">\n<p>A<strong>mong other issues to be addressed are:<\/strong>\u00a0the competitiveness of free zones, their logistical structures and their historical trajectory will be items on the agenda of this Caribbean \u2018troika\u2019 of mutual support and exchange of good practices and successful experiences.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-dialogue-on-the-multilateral-commitments\"><strong>Dialogue on the multilateral commitments<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While in multilateral matters, there will be a dialogue on the commitments and objectives of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thecostaricanews.com\/costa-rica-highlights-the-role-of-civil-society-in-regional-integration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regional forums<\/a>\u00a0such as the Central American Integration System (SICA), the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Organization of American States (OAS), the Secretariat General Iberoamericana (SEGIB) and the Association of Caribbean States (AEC).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the foreign ministers of the three countries summoned: Erika Mouynes, from Panama; Roberto \u00c1lvarez Gil, from the Dominican Republic; and Rodolfo Solano Quir\u00f3s, from Costa Rica, the respective Foreign Trade Ministers of each country will also participate in the meeting. For Panama, Vice Minister Juan Carlos Sosa will attend.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abWith this meeting, we will continue positioning as articulating countries in the region, favoring new spaces for rapprochement and political ties, reinforcing the commitment to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thecostaricanews.com\/tico-project-wins-regional-competition-to-reduce-food-waste\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regional security<\/a>, environmental protection and global agreements to minimize the effects of climate change\u201d stated the host minister.<\/p>\n<p>Get Vaccinated and stay
