country placed in the international market $1.25 billion at a rate of 2.2% expiring in 2032 and $1.2 billion at a rate of 3.4% expiring in 2060.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Panama\" href=\"https:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Panama%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Panama<\/a>\u00a0ventured today into the international capital markets through the reopening of Global Bonds expiring in 2032 and 2060 for an amount of $2.45 billion, as part of the financing plan for fiscal year 2021, informed the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).<\/p>\n<p>According to the MEF&#8217;s press release dated January 21, 2021, the issuance is part of the 2021 financial strategy, whose financing needs are estimated at $6 billion, including debt amortizations for an approximate amount of $1.822 billion.<\/p>\n<p>You may be interested in &#8220;<a demonstrates the market&#8217;s confidence in the credit profile of the Republic of Panama, in times of great challenges at a global level in economic, social and health matters.<\/p>\n<p>According to the needs for the year 2021, of the total debt managed and disbursed during 2020, $1 billion was earmarked as a pre-funding to meet the commitments of the 2021 Budget.<\/em>&#8221;<br \/>\nStay
