Well, it looks like professionals will soon be able to get back to work!\u00a0 I love this sign and picture!\u00a0 The guy says it all a big thumbs up. I think that we are all ready to get back to some semblance of normal, albeit taking the necessary precautions which have become common sense now. So, stay safe and celebrate life!!<\/p>\n

Panama\u00a0ordered the reactivation of the construction of public works, non-metallic mining and industries, starting next Monday, June 1.<\/p>\n

Temples, parks and sports and social areas may also open, but only use 25% of their capacity and keeping the distance of two meters between people.\u00a0All these activities have been suspended since last March 25, when the total curfew came into effect, decreed by the Executive, in the face of the\u00a0coronavirus<\/b>\u00a0pandemic\u00a0, which until Tuesday had caused\u00a0313 deaths in Panama.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was communicated on the night of this Tuesday, May 26, at the conclusion of the Cabinet Council in the Presidency of the Republic.\u00a0The measure was announced by the ministers\u00a0Rosario Turner<\/a>\u00a0, of Health, and\u00a0Ram\u00f3n Mart\u00ednez<\/a>\u00a0, of Commerce and Industries.\u00a0With them were\u00a0Doris Zapata<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Juan Pino<\/a>\u00a0, ministers of Labor and Security.<\/p>\n

In addition, a relaxation was announced in the\u00a0quarantine<\/b>\u00a0that was established in the country due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19.\u00a0The curfew will now be from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am.<\/b>\u00a0The restricted departure, of two hours, by gender and ID number is eliminated.\u00a0There will also be no total quarantine on Sundays (from Sunday June 7).<\/b><\/p>\n

Children will be able to circulate from 4:00 to 7:00 pm<\/b>\u00a0, with their parents or guardians.\u00a0The use of the\u00a0mask is mandatory.<\/b><\/p>\n

This flexibility does not include participation in social, cultural, festive group activities, visits to beaches, contact sports, or any other that does not comply with physical distance.<\/p>\n

The administration of President\u00a0Laurentino Cortizo<\/b>\u00a0elaborated an economic revival plan, divided into six blocks.\u00a0The first of these was reactivated on May 13<\/b>\u00a0, and includes retail e-commerce, mechanical and spare parts workshops, technical services, aquaculture and artisanal fishing.<\/p>\n

The Health Minister calculated that the lives of some 6,000 people have been saved, thanks to the quarantine.\u00a0The reopening is possible due to the low rate of contagion, the capacity of the health system and the number of tests carried out (\u00a060 thousand 598 until this Tuesday, May 26<\/b>\u00a0).<\/p>\n

There is no date for the reopening of block 3. Minister Mart\u00ednez indicated that this will depend on the behavior of blocks 1 and 2. He also specified that as of June 1, the use of safe conducts will not be necessary for workers in the activities contemplated in blocks 1 and 2.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Labor referred to the formation of health committees, mandatory for all companies that want to reopen.\u00a0Each committee should have from 2 to 6 members, depending on the size of its list.\u00a0Businesses with more than 41 workers must have a six-person health committee.<\/p>\n

These committees must guarantee that the personnel have personal protective equipment (mask, gel), follow suspected cases of contagion, identify high-risk areas and maintain the confidentiality of all information, among other functions.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0block 3<\/b>\u00a0includes construction in the private sector, the retail trade (shopping centers) and the wholesale, car sales, professional services (beauty salons, car washes) and administrative services.<\/p>\n
