Hard Rock Hotel Meg\u00e1polis to open soon behind Multicentro<\/h2>\n

Hard Rock Hotels was announced as the franchise that will operate the enormous Meg\u00e1polis building.<\/div>\n

Hard Rock International is making its entrance into the Latin American hotel market in Panama with the Hard Rock Hotel Meg\u00e1polis. Located next to the Dec\u00e1polis Hotel behind Multicentro Mall, the hotel will be \u201cCentral America\u2019s biggest hotel, one of the ten biggest in the world and will also classify among the top five tallest hotels in the world\u201d, stated General Manager Roko Setka III. It should be open near the end of the year.<\/p>\n

The Hard Rock Hotel deal was struck by Meg\u00e1polis Investment Group, owned by Riad Elhayek, who also owns Hard Rock Caf\u00e9 Panama, the Radisson Decapolis Hotel and has decades of experience trading in the Col\u00f3n Free Zone.<\/p>\n

The property will feature around 1,500 rooms. There will be eight bars and\/or restaurants and the 62nd floor will feature a discotheque that will be the tallest nightclub in the Americas. The Hard Rock Hotel, just like the Decapolis, will be connected to the Multicentro Mall via a sky bridge. The ninth floor of Multicentro will become a fair and convention center to compliment the property\u2019s offer and capacity.<\/p>\n

The Hard Rock Hotel in Panama will work in conjunction with the Decameron Hotel brand. The enormous new property will also serve as an intermediary lodging for tourists visiting the Decameron Panama and other Decameron Properties in Latin America and the Caribbean, taking advantage of Panama\u2019s privileged location and function as an aero hub.<\/p>\n

Panama is blessed, Hard Rock is blessed<\/h3>\n

Michael Shindler, Executive Vice President of Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, explained that the goal is to expand in major cities around the world, and that Hard Rock chose Panama as the first city in Latin America for its \u201cquality and depth for investment.\u201d He said, \u201cOpening the property in Panama is a springboard. It puts Hard Rock Hotels on the map in Latin America. Panama seems to be blessed \u2014 and now Hard Rock is blessed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shindler\u2019s grandmother was Panamanian, which makes the project particularly special for him. \u201cIt\u2019s exciting,\u201d he told The Visitor. \u201cEvery transaction has its own life.
