{"id":22888,"date":"2018-04-16T15:59:56","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T20:59:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/?p=22888"},"modified":"2018-04-16T15:59:56","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T20:59:56","slug":"cruises-arriving-amador","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/cruises-arriving-amador\/","title":{"rendered":"More Cruises Arriving at Amador"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/cruise-terminal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22889\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/cruise-terminal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"472\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/cruise-terminal.jpg 768w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/cruise-terminal-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I cannot wait for our new cruise terminal and the numbers show the need for the expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The number of tourists that arrived at the Amador marina in the first quarter of the year almost tripled compared to the figure for the same period in 2017, and the number of cruises grew by 45%.<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">From a statement issued by the <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"tourism\" href=\"https:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22tourism%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Tourism<\/a> Authority of <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Panama\" href=\"https:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Panama%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Panama<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">April 9, 2018<\/span>\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\">Cruise arrivals at the marina of Amador, in the Panamanian Pacific, during this first quarter of 2018 recorded an increase in ships and passengers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">The Marketing Manager of Fuerte Amador, Ana S\u00e1nchez, confirmed that for the first quarter of 2018 (January to March) a total of 35 <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Cruise\" href=\"https:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Cruise%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">cruises<\/a> were received, with 16,349 passengers disembarking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">This represents an increase of more than 50% taking into account that for the first quarter of 2017, 24 cruise ships arrived, with 6,122 passengers disembarking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">For her part, Stephany Castro, cruise coordinator of Ancon Expeditions of Panama, indicated that the cruise passengers arriving at the Amador road make a city tour and visit the Casco Antiguo, the Canal and the Biomuseo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">Most are Americans who are older than 70, although there are also visitors from Europe, she said.\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">According to Castro, depending on the cruise ships, they generally travel through the Caribbean visiting Guna Yala and Bocas del Toro;
