\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the banking guild say that since the reestablishment of diplomatic relations, banks in the Asian country have expressed interest in the Panamanian market.<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">Although the conditions and legal framework in which correspondents of large international\u00a0<a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Banks\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Banks%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">banks<\/a>\u00a0operate in the country still need to be improved, representatives from the banking sector believe that the arrival of Chinese financial companies would help accelerate this process of improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">The president of the Banking Association of\u00a0<a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Panama\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Panama%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Panama<\/a>\u00a0(ABP),\u00a0<a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Carlos Eduardo Troetsch\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Carlos+Eduardo+Troetsch%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Carlos Eduardo Troetsch<\/a>, commented that the arrival of Chinese banks\u00a0<em>&#8220;&#8230; is a great opportunity for Panama.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/span><em><span dir=\"ltr\">Although the president of the ABP admits that there is a route to be taken regarding the issue of correspondent banks, he stated that the country has been improving.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<span dir=\"ltr\">Elfinancierocr.com reports that\u00a0<em>&#8220;&#8230;<\/em><\/span><em><span dir=\"ltr\">For Troetsch it is an issue that remains important, and soon he will start to travel to present correspondents and regulators with the new initiatives and the situation in Panama.<\/span>\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\">He added that there may be 80 to 300 banks in the country that have relationships with correspondents with
