This addition to its current programs, such as its internal recycling system and the Smithsonian\u2019s Futuro Forestal reforestation project, will allow HRG to continue minimizing its carbon footprint.<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs the owners of three of the most highly-regarded restaurants in Panama, we believe it is our duty to ensure that everything we do sets a positive example in how it affects this developing region,\u201d says founder David Henesy, who has been operating upscale restaurants and hotels for more than thirty years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe partnership with Biogranjas is extremely exciting because it helps us fulfill our social and environmental responsibilities. Through our work with (Biogranjas owner) Jesus Armenteros we will be not only bringing farm-fresh ingredients to our customers, but also benefiting the local economy and reducing the need for imported foods, thus cutting down our usage of transportation fuel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>HRG is already known for seeking out the freshest ingredients for its clients and their sophisticated palates. In the next two years, however, they hope to take this practice to the next level, aiming to raise 80% of their ingredients locally. This includes the organic vegetables, microgreens, and Certified Humane chickens provided by Biogranjas, the production of which will increase rapidly in the coming months as a result of this collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>About Henesy-Rodriguez Group<\/p>\n<p>With decades of combined restaurant and hotel experience, HRG co-owners David Henesy and Carolina Rodriguez have teamed up to create a group of restaurants that is pioneering world-class fine dining in Panama and beyond.
