\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2015 Panama led the importation of footwear and related materials in the region, with $234 million, followed by Costa Rica, which imported $155 million, and in third place Guatemala, with $154 million.<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">Data from the report Foreign Trade Office on Shoes, similar articles and related materials,\u00a0prepared by Business Intelligence Unit at Centralamericadata.com shows that in 2015 the countries of the region <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"import\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22import%22\">imported<\/a> $757 million, corresponding to a volume of 84,484 tons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">Of the total tons bought in 2015, 96% corresponded to <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"footwear\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22footwear%22\">footwear<\/a> and 4% to together totaled $94 million, led by El Salvador, from which 3,373 tonnes were <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"exports\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22exports%22\">export<\/a>ed, equivalent to $50 million.<\/span>\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\">In the case of El Salvador, there was a decrease of 7% in sales compared to 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">The second largest exporter in volume and value was Guatemala, which in 2015 managed to sell abroad 5,360 tons of <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Shoes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Shoes%22\">shoe<\/a>s and related products, generating $30 million in revenue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">CentralAmericaData.<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">com provides detailed information on the import and export of shoe soles, <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Rubber\"
