half of 2015 and the same period in 2016 the average selling price per square meter rose from $2,850 to $3,100 in Class A projects.<\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">Data from CBRE Panama reported on by Capital.com.pa reflects the growing demand for residential projects in the capital and its surrounding areas.<\/span>\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\">In the case of Class A <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"residential project\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22residential+project%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">residential projects<\/a>, in the first half of the year an increase was recorded in the average <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Prices\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Prices%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">price<\/a> per square meter, while in the segment of class B projects, stability is reported in prices,\u00a0&#8220;&#8230; underpinned by a low availability. &#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">You may want to read &#8220;<span dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22selling%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">selling<\/a> prices are going to remain stable, they are not expected to fall&#8217;.<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;There will be a little more supply, because of new\u00a0buildings that have delivery dates for later this year, helping to increase availability, which currently is very low&#8217;.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<em><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;&#8230;<\/span>\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\">In 2015 some 8,362 housing units (houses and apartments) were built with an investment of $900.1 million, benefiting some 27,600 Panamanians and in 2016 <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"sales\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22sales%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">sales<\/a> are expected in the order of $1,112.3 million, resulting
