Now we need to focus on on improving our position as the logistics center for the world.<\/p>\n<p>Logistics Services represents over 25% of Panama\u00b4s GDP and in order to take advantage of the connectivity offered by the Canal and its strategic location, the rules for logistics and port industries must be improved and modernized.<\/p>\n<p class=\"description\"><span dir=\"ltr\">The infrastructure and technology is in place, but a better legal framework is needed in order to take advantage of the connectivity and advantages of the Canal and the location of Panama in the Latin American region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">In the view of <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Alberto Alem\u00e1n Zubieta\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Alberto+Alem%C3%A1n+Zubieta%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Alberto Aleman Zubieta<\/a>, former administrator of the <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Panama Canal Authority\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Panama+Canal+Authority%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Panama Canal Authority<\/a> (ACP by its initials in Spanish), <em>&#8220;&#8230; &#8216;in order to overcome this challenge, imminent work is needed on the creation of a General Law on Ports, so that the world can understand Panama&#8217;s value, and\u00a0its geographical position.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><span dir=\"ltr\"><em>We must establish strategies to develop our geographical position to its full capacity and give added value to the cargo passing through the Canal&#8217;.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\">Capital.com.pa re<a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Ports\" Quijano<\/a>, believes that \u00a0<em>&#8220;&#8230; among the changes to be made is improving established regulations, adapting the education system to respond to the needs which will arise in the
