The canal expansion is seen by the managers of the shipping company as a great opportunity to increase business in this region.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Efe published by Critica.com.pa, Andr\u00e9s Osorio, commercial director of Maersk, said that they<i> &#8220;&#8230; just made ??a purchase about 30 thousand containers that will enlarge a fleet of 260000 refrigerated railcars, noting that Latin America represents 40% of total refrigerated volume of cargo that Maersk <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Transportation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Transportation%22\">transports<\/a> worldwide. &#8220;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>He added that <i>&#8220;&#8230;We hope that many of those containers in which we have just invested will be destined for our region and for exploiting products from Chile, Peru, Ecuador, that very likely will have the opportunity to use the services of the expanded Canal with larger boats in the future in so much as we have more availability of cargo and the market improves. &#8216; &#8220;<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"link_source\">Source: <a
