{"id":1620,"date":"2010-11-04T14:12:07","date_gmt":"2010-11-04T19:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/?p=1620"},"modified":"2010-11-05T09:58:32","modified_gmt":"2010-11-05T14:58:32","slug":"the-best-location-in-panama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/the-best-location-in-panama\/","title":{"rendered":"The Best Location in Panama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Azuero-pic.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pedasi-pic.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/andromeda-1.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/andromeda-2.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/coasta-pedasi-1.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/costa-pedasi-2.jpg\"><\/a>OK, besides my home town of Boquete here in the western highlands of Panama&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The next hot spot\u00a0 is emerging and the town\u00a0is starting to take shape as a community like Boquete which is now shared by locals with a lively expat community.\u00a0\u00a0Pedasi is\u00a0a place that\u00a0I have\u00a0 mentioned often\u00a0before and\u00a0a place\u00a0\u00a0that I visit whenever I can.\u00a0 The next trip is to buy while prices are still cheap.\u00a0\u00a0 Pedasi is located on the peninsula of Azuero that juts south into the Pacific Ocean and is similar to the Guanacaste region in Costa Rica.\u00a0 The biggest difference is that it is 20 to 100 times cheaper.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Azuero-pic.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Azuero pic\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Azuero-pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"707\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While I like to get out of the mountains and fish out of Boca Chica near my home, Pedasi has remote and exquisite stretches\u00a0\u00a0of beach with\u00a0cinnamon and white sand.\u00a0 Surf breaks, horseback riding in the hills or down on the beach, fishing, diving and just plain good old\u00a0 hammock time spots found in only\u00a0few places.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pedasi-pic.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Pedasi pic\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Pedasi-pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The town of Pedasi is still laid back and sleepy, just the way a lot of folks like it but that won&#8217;t last much longer as many new restaurants and shops are now opening and signal many more to come.\u00a0 Two of the major communities near town have come to life with power and infrastructure reaching all the way down to the beach a short distance away.\u00a0 Ocean view homes starting at $225,000 give way to some beachfront mansions that are being built. In both communities, the first phase lots\u00a0have nearly sold out.\u00a0 Second phase pricing has increased by over 15% in the last year\u00a0but you can still buy a great lot for under $100,000!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/andromeda-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"andromeda 1\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/andromeda-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"257\" height=\"198\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/andromeda-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"andromeda 2\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/andromeda-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"409\" height=\"196\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/coasta-pedasi-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"coasta pedasi 1\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/coasta-pedasi-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"311\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/costa-pedasi-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"costa pedasi 2\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/costa-pedasi-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"162\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In town you can still buy a small tipico \u00a0home for\u00a0under $100,000\u00a0where it was half that price a\u00a0few years ago.\u00a0 That is what happened in Boquete and the paralells bewteen our expat communit which is now\u00a0in the thousands started like Pedasi where is still under 100.\u00a0 Many of those small homes are now shops and restaurants.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0There are also commercial investment opportunties as well for retail and hospitality as the\u00a0visitor and foreign population grows.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We believe that Pedasi is at the tipping point not unlike what is described in Malcolm Gladwell\u2019s book of that title.\u00a0 Gladwell defines a\u00a0<a title=\"Tipping point (sociology)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tipping_point_(sociology)\" target=\"_blank\">tipping point<\/a>\u00a0as &#8220;the moment of critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point&#8221;.\u00a0 There are the right forces at work to make things happen in Pedasi including the people in business there, their ambitions and their sales ability.\u00a0 There a number of spokesmen who\u00a0are telling\u00a0the government about the need for additional infrastructure, an expanded airport and\u00a0the need for daily\u00a0flights into Pedasi.\u00a0 This will all be realized in the near future and when it does, Pedasi will take off like a rocket and leave a lot of\u00a0monday morning quarterback investors wishing that they had taken advantage of the present pricing.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pedasihotel.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/november-08\/facade2nov.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"224\" \/>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.casacampopedasi.com\/Portals\/Casa\/Gallery\/4439\/img_0082_p.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"391\" height=\"225\" \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As my wife said to me a\u00a0few weeks ago while we sat in my friend&#8217;s hotel gardens at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.casacampopedasi.com\" target=\"_blank\">Casa de Campo<\/a>, &#8220;Honey, we have to invest here&#8230;. do you hear me honey?&#8221;\u00a0 Yes dear, I hear you and we will.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please let us know if you would also like to get in on the ground floor of opportunities that we have found in this lovely town.\u00a0 While there are a lot of professed experts in real estate out there, my partner who grew up in Pedasi and I can find you the right fit for
