P<u><a title=\"rensa.com reports that\" href=\"http:\/\/www.prensa.com\/economia\/Desestiman-denuncias-aerolineas-lavanderias_0_4401309994.html\" target=\"_blank\">rensa.com reports that<\/a><\/u> &#8220;&#8230;After 14 years of settling a process for alleged absolute monopolistic practices, the Ninth Court of the Civil Circuit has ruled that there was no merit to sanction five airlines that were denounced by the former Commission on Free Competition and Consumer Affairs (Clicac), today known as the Authority for Consumer Protection and Defense of Competition (Acodeco). &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the details of the case, and our duty to report on the dispute over apparent anti-competitive practices, the real news is the time -15 years !!!- that it has taken for the <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Panama\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Panama%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">Panama<\/a>nian <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"Judicial system\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22Judicial+system%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">judicial system<\/a> to reach a decision that in any case can be overturned on appeal. After 15 years, the <a class=\"hlink\" title=\"litigation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centralamericadata.com\/en\/search?q1=content_en_le:%22litigation%22&amp;q2=mattersInCountry_es_le:%22Panama%22\">litigation<\/a> will continue for a few more.<\/p>\n<p>With the XXI century now well under way, and Panama having made substantial progress, positioning itself on the regional and world stage as a nation of powerful development with claims to being a business hub, events such as the judicial system&#8217;s ability to resolve disputes, are not good news.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scale of injustice!
