the Los Quetzales Lodge this last weekend to chill, literally.\u00a0 It was beautiful with nights in the 50&#8217;s and day time temps in the 60&#8217;s.\u00a0 After returning to Boquete, I found myself uncomfortably warm having acclimated to the cooler temperatures.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t get me wrong, Boquete is nice and cool at night in the 60&#8217;s and daytime temps in the 70&#8217;s but recently it has seemed a bit warmer.<\/p>\n<p>So I went up to a nice area that I like called Bajo Grande which is at around 6,500 feet, where there is this charming chalet that I have visited many time before.\u00a0 It has two tress from the old growth primary forest that used to cover this area, a Swiss style chalet, guest house and truck patch, perfect in every way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14541\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-2.jpg\" alt=\"house 2\" width=\"681\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-2.jpg 681w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 681px) 100vw, 681px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The guys were out harvesting lettuce and cabbage which grows to an enormous size here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14542\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-3.jpg\" alt=\"house 3\" width=\"684\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-3.jpg 684w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-3-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, I decided to check and see if this property was for sale with a friend of mine who lives around the corner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14543\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-4.jpg\" alt=\"house 4\" width=\"689\" height=\"459\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-4.jpg 689w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/house-4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 689px) 100vw, 689px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alas, it sold only six months before to a doctor from Panama.\u00a0 So, I was off to see another home that I had read about that is located on a river and sheltered in amongst huge cedar trees.<\/p>\n<p>Situated on 2 and a half acres, this old home could be renovated or demolished for a newer modern home.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14544\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-1.jpg\" alt=\"home 1\" width=\"688\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-1.jpg 688w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-1-300x196.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are two structures, one from 1935 and one built around 2000.\u00a0 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VkXKtEaTnSM\" target=\"_blank\">Watch this video<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14545\" fashioned covered front porch that looks directly to the river below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14547\" src=\"http:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-2.jpg\" alt=\"home 2\" width=\"676\" height=\"455\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-2.jpg 676w, https:\/\/panamaadvisoryinternationalgroup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/home-2-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can swim\u00a0 and fish for trout in this small river.\u00a0 The place has unlimited possibilities and is an excellent B&amp;B development opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we saw a few other examples of country living in a land more remote than Boquete, yet serene and much much cooler!!<\/p>\n<p>And then,\u00a0 I told Susie, we could always buy this farm, build a home and live life large raising livestock and vegetables.\u00a0 She reminded me that I would be bored living the single life!!<\/p>\n<p><a
