\"Buen-Viaje-Panama-Paso-canoas-border\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The aim is to implement the operation of customs offices of both countries in the same physical space, with the control of goods and passengers being carried out simultaneously.<\/p>\n

The agreement between the customs authorities of Panama and Costa Rica includes recommendations, designs and procedural logic for an Integrated Control Center (CCI), to be constructed on the borders of Paso Canoas and Guabito-Sixaola.<\/p>\n

The model to be applied to Panama and Costa Rica is a physical integration of controls in Double Header schemes, specialized cargo and passengers, in the form of Country Input \/ Host Country. This means that in each of the entities of the two countries, officials will run checks simultaneously in the same space. ”<\/p>\n

Prensa.com reports that “… With regard to the budgetary rules, joint facilities and division of costs will be established, particularly to define the area where they are to develop the CCI. Also defined is the legal basis for officials of both countries to exercise measures of enforcement, including fines, seizures or arrests in the territory of another country within the limits of the joint customs office. “<\/p>\n
