This is my favorite article of anything that I read this week.\u00a0 It follows last week’s article on “The Dubai of Latin America” that I reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dubai of Latin America\u201d is a\u00a0nickname often used to refer to Panama City. But far below its\u00a0sparkling skyline of office towers and apartment buildings, streets pocked with\u00a0potholes make drivers\u2019 daily life rather bumpy and unpleasant.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why the TV show Telemetro Reporta has launched the project The Tweeting Pothole (El Hueco Twittero), installing\u00a0motion-sensitive devices\u00a0(link in Spanish)\u00a0in the craters that mar\u00a0Panama City\u2019s streets. When\u00a0a car runs over\u00a0one of them, a tweet is sent automatically to the account of the Ministry\u00a0of Public Works, according to the site.<\/p>\n
