News from Panama / Friday, October 28th, 2022

The Canadian-flagged airline Air Canada resumes its non-stop operations between Canada and Tocumen International Airport in Panama City on November 4, after a two-year absence due to the countries’ government restrictions, due to the Covid-19 health crisis. According to the airline, from November 4 it will offer 2 weekly flights (Friday and Sunday) on its Toronto / Panama itinerary and from December 18 to extend the frequencies on Wednesdays and Friday and Sunday.

The General Manager of Tocumen International Airport, Raffoul Arab, specified “that the benefits of Air Canada’s return to Panama will be significant not only from the point of view of connectivity, but that this important decision constitutes an additional means to promote the tourism, commercial, investment and cultural exchange sectors between both countries.”

Between January and September of this year, Tocumen International Airport has registered a traffic of 11.5 million passengers, through 18 commercial airlines that offer services to 84 destinations in America and Europe.
