Here’s a pretty good, short animated video on the value of gold versus fiat money. The video also points out that it’s difficult to have major prolonged wars without fiat money. In a way, it’s a necessary ingredient as nations engaged in wasteful wars all go bankrupt without the printing press to keep them afloat longer. This a fact that neocons trumpeting the gold standard seem to accidentally overlook.
