Panama: $42 Million for Private Hospital

Plans are being made to build a hospital in the district of Juan Díaz in the province of Panama, which will be connected to the Mall Town Center del Este.

Data from the Interactive System “Construction Projects in Panama“, complied by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData , indicates that Desarrollo Hospitalario Costa del Este S.A. presented an Environmental Impact Study (EIA) to the Panama Ministry of the Environment in March 2017.

The project is called “Punta Pacifica Hospital Costa del Este” and consists of the construction of a hospital building that will be developed with a construction measuring approximately 22,753 m2, in a lot of 2,831 m2. It will contain a series of offices for consultations that will be provided in the mall Town Center Costa del Este, a building which the project will be linked to, as it shares a party wall.

The building will have 11 levels 4 of which will be used for parking, and in the other 7 there will be emergency services, samples taking area, laboratory, blood bank, pharmacy, auditorium, administration, technical area, waste area, morgue, warehouses, kitchen, technical area, supplies area, operating rooms, sterilization area, intensive care unit, delivery room, neonatology, maternity, restaurant, offices, physiotherapy, executive plan, radiology and general hospitalization area.

The project will be situated in a lot at the intersection between Avenida Costa del Sol and Calle del Sol, in Town Center Costa del Este, Juan Diaz district, district and province of Panama. It is worth noting that Costa del Este is an area with a lot of growth in real estate development in Panama City.
