Join Hybrida Production’s Drew Herma in his awesome Panama Fishing journey to Propiedad de Paradise Lodge on Isla Paridas! Our private island lodge 12 miles off the Pacific coast of Panama. And in the heart of the Gulf of Chiriqui very close to Hannibal Bank. This video documentary takes you through the sights, sounds, and excitement from his November 2013 experience here with us at our Panama Fishing lodge!
The crew from Hybrida Productions, including Drew Herma and Eddie McCormick, first flew into Panama City before joining us for 4 days of offshore hunting. Drew was focused on getting his shot at a Thanksgiving Marlin so we concentrated on the best spots in the Gulf of Chiriquí, Panama for fishing billfish…Isla Montuosa and Hannibal Bank. It was definitely on for Thanksgiving as there were some big concentrations of Bonitos, the Marlin’s favorite food, at both spots the week of Drew’s trip. On the first day we caught a few big Dorados as we tried to raise a Marlin offshore. We had some issues with the Porpoises robbing our live baits so we decided to go to the plastic trolling lures to see what we could raise. We and had knock down after knock down on the plastics of decent sized Dorados…but no Marlin. On the second day we caught and released a 400# Black Marlin at Hannibal Bank and missed two other billfish! In between the Marlin fishing we had some great luck with inshore species like Mullet Snapper and Roosterfish. We caught a 300# Blue Marlin on the last day of Drew’s Panama Fishing adventure and unfortunately it got foul hooked and died. We were able to give the fish to a local fisherman who was nearby so it would not go to waste.
All and all it was a great trip. We were lucky to be able to capture such great action on camera. Hybrida Productions was really able to capture the essence of the Panama Fishing experience here at Propiedad de Paradise Lodge. Thanks so much for the great video Drew and Eddie!
