Documentary about Capuchin friar’s work in Panama

News from Panama / Tuesday, June 20th, 2017

This looks to be a great movie.

The internationally acclaimed film, directed by Kurt SensenbrennerĀ and Colin Sytsma, takes you to eastern Panama, where decades of government corruption and neglect have impoverished the region. But thanks to the tireless efforts of Kasuboski, a Capuchin friar, to build infrastructure, protect watersheds, and conserve the rainforest, life is looking up for the locals. Father Wally (Padre Pablo) was named Panama’s Hero in 2016.

The directors and Father Wally will be available for a Q&A after the screening. It has been shown at many film festivals and the showing is usually sold out.
