$100 million Works Announced in East Panama

The government plans to allocate resources to remodel schools, and the construction of an aqueduct, a health center and a sports complex in the eastern area of the province of Panama.

Furthermore it was also announced that on April 18 a tender will be launched for the extension of the hydraulic ring road towards this sector, investment in which is over $150 million.

From a statement issued by the Presidency of Panama:

New works for the eastern area of the province of Panama, worth over 100 million dollars, were announced by President Juan Carlos Varela during the Sectorial Cabinet meeting held at Maria de los Angeles school, in the community of Las Paredes, in the town of 24 de Diciembre.

After extensive discussion with residents and local authorities, the President explained that expansion works will take place and construction of health, education, housing, basic sanitation and drinking water facilities, which the Government is already building for the benefit of the population.
